Kingdom Flight Ministry Team Information
WHAT IS A KINGDOM FLIGHT MINISTRY TEAM? A team is a group of people that have come together in unity and purpose, giving of service, and demonstrating the Love of Christ in a cross cultural environment. Teams may be comprised of only a few people such as a family or two, or a team may be a much larger church youth or adult group.
Our goal is to work with your team and your specific goals for the week. We're often asked what is the greatest need? We believe that building relationships with the children we serve, loving on them, and modeling Christ to these kids is the #1 need by far!
WHAT WILL I GAIN FROM BEING PART OF A TEAM?
BEING A PART OF A TEAM MEANS THAT YOU WILL:
AS AN INDIVIDUAL YOU WILL:
WHAT WILL OUR TEAM DO? Each Kingdom Flight mission trip is specifically designed to be an awesome life-changing experience. You will have the opportunity to serve in one or more of the following ways.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: A team may be assigned a construction project. It might be a project at the Kingdom Flight children's home itself, for a local church, or for a member of the local community.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES: Our main purpose is to demonstrate the Love of Christ by our actions and this will open doors to share our faith. This is accomplished through a variety of ministry opportunities. Every ministry opportunity is uniquely based on your group’s focus during the week.
CHILDREN'S OUTREACH MINISTRY: Groups participate by interacting with the children of a nearby community on either the Apache or Navajo reservation. Groups participate in teaching Bible stories and will assist in making crafts and playing games.
SPORTS MINISTRY: This ministry is designed to attract teenage young people through sports activities and includes basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer. This gives volunteer team members a way to interact with the local teens and establish friendships.
KINGDOM FLIGHT FACTS SHEET MISSION STATEMENT: Kingdom Flight is a ministry based on Matthew 25 designed to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of indigenous children in remote areas of the Southwestern United States and Mexico. Our philosophy is to find out where God is at work around us in the world and to join Him. We believe in demonstrating Christ's Love through our actions by meeting physical needs and building long-term relationships.
VOLUNTEERS: See GUIDELINES
Much of the ministry’s work is accomplished through volunteers. There are three primary classifications of volunteers;
Construction Volunteers: The first classification of volunteers are construction project volunteers consisting of those with skills in various aspects of construction.
Medical Volunteers: The second classification of volunteers are volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and other health professionals that come and give of their time and expertise in their medical specialty.
General Volunteers: The third classification of volunteers are groups or individuals that are interested in serving others. There will be youth and adults that will come to do construction, medical, and ministry outreach activities at the ministry center and all that is required is a heart to serve others.
2011 KINGDOM FLIGHT MISSION TEAM FEES:
General Fee Information:
The Participation Fee covers the following:
As to our fees and what they cover: The fees we
charge are for organizing team specific projects and scheduling the daily
activities based on the goals for each specific group. We also provide daily
oversight and coordination of activities for your team. Because we are a
nonprofit ministry funded solely by donations and not an income-generating
business, or more specifically, we are a missionary family to the Apache and
Navajo Indians of northeastern Arizona, this fee helps us to off-set our
expenditure of donated ministry resources in order to accommodate your group.
This also includes our expenses to and from the reservation in our mobile ministry
center each day as well as costs for feeding children and your team one meal
each day. Fees are solely in place to help offset our
expenses and we will do everything possible to assist anyone interested in
participating and do not want the financial aspect of a missions trip to be a
discouraging factor. Group registration fees are due 90 days prior to your visit. Individual registration fees are due 30 days prior to your visit.
Fees are based per person (except group registration fee).
Group Registration Fee $250 (Required only for groups of 10 or more) Individual Registration Fee $125 (Per person)
Note: Applications for each member of your team along with a copy of a photo I.D., and group registration fee must be submitted at least 90 days prior to your visit when possible. Individual team member fees must be received at least 30 days prior to you visit.
There are no fees for Children under 8. Discounts are available for individual families and fees may be waived for families who homeschool (contact our office for details and family discount rates). Fees may also be waived entirely in other circumstances.
Cancellations, participation fees (for groups and individuals) will be refunded using the following guidelines:
