KINGDOM FLIGHT VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

1. Volunteer Applications are to be processed through the Kingdom Flight main office.

A. The Kingdom Flight board has preference that all volunteers be committed Christians, having a personal relationship with Christ. However, non-Christians are welcome if they're accompanied by a Christian participant.

B. Along with your Application include the following and mail to our Arizona office: A copy of a photo I.D.and emergency contact phone number for each participant and group registration fee (if applicable). These must be received at least 90 days prior to your visit.  Individual team member fees must be received at least 30 days prior to you visit.

C. Young volunteers (8 to 16 years old) must be accompanied by an adult team leader.

D. Volunteers must adhere to Kingdom Flight schedules, policies, rules, regulations, and conduct guidelines.

E. Volunteers must be very careful to not flash wealth or belongings in front of workers and local citizens, most of them have very little. Volunteers are not allowed to give gifts or money to the locals or children without the approval of the director of Kingdom Flight.

F. Volunteers are not to discuss any Kingdom Flight business while in the field (public places, restaurants etc.) with those not associated with Kingdom Flight where words overheard can be misinterpreted.

G. Personal items must not be left lying around.  They could cause temptation and possible theft (i.e. purse, camera, watch, etc.)

2. Length of Stay. Kingdom Flight volunteer stays vary from 1 day to several weeks and must be amiable between Kingdom Flight, hosts, and volunteers.  Your participation will begin with a probation period and Kingdom Flight reserves the right to terminate the relationship with the volunteer during this probation period or at any time thereafter.  If terminated, the volunteer agrees not to attempt any further contact or communication with Kingdom Flight employees, Kingdom Flight volunteers or Kingdom Flight staff members.

3. Volunteer dress code. Dresses, blouses, T-shirts, and clothing in general, must be conservative.

4. Finances. Volunteers will be responsible for their own finances, i.e. outside accommodations, food, medical, etc.

5. Quarters. Kingdom Flight children's, administrators and workers quarters are off limits to volunteers.

6. Accommodations. You are responsible for this expense.

7. Meals. Lunch will be provided only at scheduled meal times while on the reservation.  Any special diets and foods are not available, if needed, they are your own responsibility.

8. Medicines.  Bring your own unexpired prescription medications in the original container.

9. Personal Policies.  Alcoholism is a huge problem on the reservation.  Therefore the use of alcohol is not permitted on Kingdom Flight missions.  Photos may be taken with permission.  There is to be no borrowing or manipulating others for finances, as you are responsible for providing for your own needs.  As a Kingdom Flight volunteer, you are expected to demonstrate acceptable and appropriate behavior at all times.
